Great Lakes Circle Tour
The Great Lakes Circle Tour is a scenic, international road system connecting all of the Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence River. As a cooperative regional effort among the eight U.S. states and two Canadian provinces that border the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence system, this tour combines the many picturesque designated highways already established on "North America's Fresh Coast," while adding a few new routes.

Great Lakes Dredging Team
A partnership of federal and state agencies created to assure that the dredging of U.S. harbors and channels throughout the Great Lakes, connecting channels and tributaries is conducted in a timely and cost-effective manner while meeting environmental protection, restoration and enhancement goals. The Commission provides staff support to the GLDT and heads up the legislative and public outreach efforts for the team.

International Great Lakes-St. Lawrence Mayors' Conference
The International Great Lakes-St. Lawrence Mayors' Conference, formed in 1987, provides to mayors and representatives of the 650 waterfront communities along the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence River a forum for discussion and cooperation for the promotion and protection of the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence system.

Soo Locks
A second large lock to replace two old and obsolete locks at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan is a priority of the Great Lakes Commission. A substantial non-federal cost share is required for the new Soo Lock and the Great Lakes states are coordinating their efforts to devise an equitable funding formula through the Commission.
