Becky Pearson

Becky Pearson, GLC Program Specialist Rebecca (Becky) Pearson is a project manager and team leader for two initiatives: 1) Water Use and Planning and 2) Water Conservation and Efficiency. Pearson is working on a variety of projects including the Great Lakes Wind Collaborative, Smart Growth Coastal Community Case Studies, and International Submerged Lands Management Conference, among others.

Other Commission projects that she has recently completed include: Local Investment in Great Lakes Restoration Study, EPA Land Use Roundtable Series, Great Lakes Biohydrologic Information System study, the Water Resources Management Decision Support System (WRMDSS) project and the Water Conservation Tool Kit project.

Pearson was a California State Sea Grant Fellow working with the California Resources Agency’s Ocean Program in Sacramento. She has extensive background in coastal and marine policy and experience working on issues related to coastal erosion and sea level rise.

Pearson received her bachelor's degree from Purdue University in French Studies and her master's from the Monterey Institute of International Studies in International Environmental Policy.
