Kirk Haverkamp is editor of the Advisor newsletter. He writes and edits material for the publication and handles its design and layout. He is also responsible for Commission press releases, editing other Commission publications, and assisting with development for T.E.A.C.H. Great Lakes.

His background includes working as an assistant editor and staff writer for the Romeo Observer (MI) and as an administrative assistant for the Michigan State University School of Journalism. He has a master's degree in journalism from Michigan State and a bachelor's degree in English from Hope College in Holland, Mich.
