Vitaly Peker

Vitaly Peker started out at the Commission as a GIS intern in 2008. After his internship, he worked as a contractor with the Commission for a brief period. He returned to the Commission in 2010 as a full-time GIS program specialist. His work is currently focused on the US EPA Inland Sensitivity Atlas (ISA). In addition, Vitaly performs data development and mapping tasks for other GLC projects.

Before coming on board as a project specialist, Vitaly worked as a GIS technician for Sanborn Map Company. He has a bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning with a focus in Geographic Information Systems from Eastern Michigan University.
