This file contains some troubleshooting tips for the downloading, viewing and printing of the Southwest Lake Michigan Air Toxics Inventory Pilot Study report. These tips address the most frequently experienced problems to date (3/1/96). The Southwest Lake Michigan (SWLM) Report has been placed on-line in separate sections due to its size and complexity. For those using a modem 14,400bps or slower, the file transfer may stop due to time out errors or hardware/software limitations. If possible, you are encouraged to use a faster modem (28,800bps). Final Report: This portion of the SWLM report has been placed on-line in WordPerfect 5.1 and 6.1 for Windows file formats. If you are using WordPerfect 6, download the 6.1 file. This file was formatted with an HP LaserJet 4/4M printer driver. If you continue to have trouble printing the final report, try printing it 25 pages at a time. Pie Charts, First and Second Set (Figures 4-6 to 4-35): The Excel 5.0 pie charts have been formatted with an HP LaserJet 4/4M printer driver. When the Excel file is first opened, the pie chart elements will not be arranged for viewing. To view the pie charts as they will be printed (in their final format), double click on the pie chart, then select the print viewer. To view/print each of the pie charts, select the appropriate tabs at the bottom of the screen. Percent Emissions and Total Emissions (Figure 4-2): The Excel 5.0 spreadsheet tables were formatted with an HP LaserJet 4/4M printer driver. Illinois Tables: Due to their large size, Tables A-1 through A-26 from the Illinois portion of the SWLM report have been placed in a separate file. The tables were formatted with an HP LaserJet Series II printer driver and saved in both WordPerfect 5.1 and 6.1 for Windows file formats. Printing the files using other printer drivers (such as an HP LaserJet 4/4M) may cause problems such as the loss of portions of the tables (usually on the right hand side of the screen). If you do not have an HP LaserJet Series II printer, try installing this driver from your Windows disk set and select it as the Windows default printer before opening in the WordPerfect application. ****************************************** Please forward any additional problems to: Mike Conley Great Lakes Commission Argus II Bldg. -- 400 Fourth St. Ann Arbor, MI 48103-4816 P: 313-665-9135 F: 313-665-4370 E: mconley@glc.org GLIN: http://www.great-lakes.net ******************************************
