Despite a winter storm, members of the EGLR-ASPRS gathered for the winter meeting in Milan, OH. The morning included a sneak preview of a workshop to be presented in Tampa, FL at the ASPRS 2007 Annual Conference. The workshop on Thermal Remote Sensing was presented by Dr. Charles E. Olson, Jr. After lunch attendees reassembled at the Days Inn meeting room for the Organization’s business meeting. Bob Brinkman presented an overview of 2006 as well as the overall accomplishments of the Region. George Leshkevich, secretary-treasurer gave the financial update. Other business included the results of the election, announcements of Jessica Long of California University of Pennsylvania as the winner of the Regional Scholarship Award, and James Lein as the new Membership/Scholarship Committee Chair. Dean Merchant, the newest ASPRS Honorary Member, passed the newsletter editorship to Sherry McGartland. The afternoon session consisted of a series of presentations on applications of thermal imaging and America View, with emphasis on the Ohio and Pennsylvania programs.
