Roger Gauthier joined the Great Lakes Commission as a full-time staffer after retiring from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit , MI office after 30 years of federal service. He manages a diverse program at the GLC the design, implementation and maintenance of project databases, geographic information systems (GIS) and computing resources. He has extensive project experience in region-wide resource management studies, remote sensing, photogrammetry, hydrology, hydraulics and public policy development. He is a member of the American Water Resources Association and American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing. He holds a bachelor's degree in physics from Grand Valley State University.
