Porftields--National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Portfields is a NOAA led federal interagency effort that focuses on the redevelopment of brownfields in port and harbor areas, with emphasis on development of environmentally sound port facilities.

The Dredging Operations and Environmental Research (DOER) Program conducts research in support of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers dredging operations. Research is designed to balance operational and environmental initiatives and to meet complex economic, engineering, and environmental challenges of dredging and disposal.
 
The Dredging Operations Technical Support Program, known as DOTS, at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers provides a wealth of technical information on dredging issues in support of the Corps' Operations and Maintenance (O&M) dredging mission.
 
National Dredging Team helps ensure that dredging of U.S. harbors and channels is conducted in a timely and cost effective manner while meeting environmental protection/restoration/enhancement goals.
 
The Waterways Experiment Station (WES) is the principal Research, Testing, and Development facility of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Western Dredging Association (WEDA)
Covering North, Central and South America, WEDA provides a forum to promote the exchange of knowledge in fields related to dredging, navigation, marine engineering and construction.
