Develops sediment transport models for tributaries to the Great Lakes that discharge to Federal navigation channels or Areas of Concern.

  • GLIN's Soil Erosion and Sediment Page
Links to numerous resources and information regarding soil erosion and sedimentation in the Great Lakes basin.

  • Great Lakes Basin Program for Soil Erosion and Sediment Control
Coordinates the efforts of the various levels of government with the specific goal of protecting and improving Great Lakes water quality by controlling soil erosion and sedimentation.

  • Toledo Harbor Pilot Project Final Report

  • Economics and Sediments in the Maumee River Basin
Compiled by researchers at Ohio State University, this web site includes research papers and fact sheets regarding the benefits of soil erosion controls and the costs associated with filter strips for soil erosion control in the Maumee River Basin. It also includes links to best management practices for soil erosion control used in Ohio.
