FY 2011 federal appropriations update
On March 18, the President signed a three-week continuing resolution (CR), H.J. Res. 48, to fund the government until April 8. The CR includes $6 billion in budget cuts. This is the sixth in a series of CRs that Congress has passed while negotiations continue on a budget for the current year (fiscal year 2011). Earlier this month the Senate failed to pass a bill that would have funded the government through the end of this fiscal year. That bill included $300 million for the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative. Full text of this bill as well as each of the CRs is available at thomas.loc.gov/home/approp/app11.html.
