Webinar Series Objective
The webinars explored existing GIS decision support tools that inform the siting of wind farms.
Workshop Objectives
- Provide a forum for wind stakeholders to share information and experiences in GIS tools development.
- Assess the information needs of state and federal managers, wind energy developers and decision-makers to make informed management and policy decisions on wind energy development.
- Identify and address any overlapping objectives of the current wind GIS efforts in the region.
- Assess the strengths and weaknesses of existing GIS tools.
- Discuss how a common regional GIS platform can inform the sustainable siting and planning of wind farms.
