Great Lakes Air Deposition Program
GLAD-INFO email distribution list
The purpose of the GLAD-Info mailing list is to communicate GLAD
program activities, news, and related information to interested parties within
the Great Lakes region and beyond. It is a public list.
Through a competitive research grants program, the GLAD program works with
leading scientists to better understand the sources of toxic pollutants, their
transport in the environment, their deposition to the Great Lakes basin and
the resulting impacts on human health and the Great Lakes ecosystem. By working
closely with state, federal, local and international regulators and policy
makers, the GLAD program places a large emphasis on promoting scientific efforts
that will increase the ability to manage this complicated but urgent environmental
issue.
This list will be used to communicate information on the GLAD program, grant
opportunities, sponsored project, and related activities with implications
for addressing atmospheric deposition of toxic substances in the Great Lake
region. Such information includes:
-Announcements regarding GLAD Requests for Proposals
-Announcements of relevant meetings, conferences and workshops
-Updates on GLAD program activities
-Updates on GLAD-sponsored projects
-News on other related activities and events in the region
-Updates on research findings relevant to the GLAD mission.
