Beth Wanamaker – Communications Manager
Beth Wanamaker leads communications for the Great Lakes Commission. She designs campaigns to support the agency in its role promoting public awareness, effective decision-making, and Great Lakes stewardship. Beth previously served as press secretary for U.S. Senator Mark R. Warner, where she managed media relations and digital outreach. Prior to that position, she managed communications for the Government Accountability Project, a nonprofit dedicated to protecting the rights of whistleblowers.
Beth is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan and holds a master’s degree in multimedia journalism from Boston University. She lives in Ann Arbor with her partner, two small children and one small dog.
