Great Lakes Day 2020

The 2020 Great Lakes Congressional Breakfast and Great Lakes Day in Washington, D.C., will be held March 5.  This annual event features dialogue on Great Lakes priorities by regional leaders and members of Congress who play a critical role in shaping Great Lakes policies. Green Infrastructure Champions Program grants awarded

The Great Lakes Green Infrastructure Champions Program helps communities overcome the physical and institutional barriers to more effective stormwater management.  The Commission recently announced grant awards to five Great Lakes communities to promote green infrastructure under the program.

Blue Accounting releases most comprehensive database of coastal wetlands in the U.S.

Blue Accounting, a data-driven Great Lakes information initiative, recently released the most comprehensive database of coastal wetlands protection, restoration and enhancement projects in the Great Lakes Basin. The database will help track progress toward Great Lakes Restoration Initiative goals.


2018 Great Lakes Commission Annual Report

The 2018 Great Lakes Commission Annual Report is now available online!  The report includes remarks from Chair John Linc Stine and Executive Director Darren J. Nichols as well as information regarding revenues, expenses, funders, and commissioners.


2019 GLC Federal Priorities for the Great Lakes

The GLC’s 2019 federal priorities document recommends actions to Congress and the Administration that will create jobs, protect public health and revitalize struggling communities in the Great Lakes region. Additionally, state-specific materials showcase individual states’ benefits.
