The Grand River Conservation Authority is calling on the province of Ontario to reconsider changes it believes will limit its role on important issues, including flood mitigation. At issue are proposed changes included in Bill 229, which would limit Ontario’s 36 conservation authorities powers on how they regulate development in flood plains.
