Danielle Tanzer – GIS Technician
Danielle Tanzer joined the Great Lakes Commission in 2019 as a GIS Technician after two years of environmental research. In this position, she uses GIS to support water resource projects including aquatic invasive species control and hazard prevention and response in the Great Lakes region. She also works at Michigan Tech Research Institute where she uses GIS and remote sensing to study ecological disturbance and change.
Danielle holds bachelor of science degrees in earth and environmental sciences and anthropology from the University of Michigan with a minor in oceanography.
