Evan Fischer – GIS Technician
Evan joined the Great Lakes Commission in 2019 after completing a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies and sustainability, as well as GIS, from Michigan State University. He currently serves as a GIS Technician, in which he works on creating contingency plans in the event of an oil spill within the Great Lakes region, while isolating various resources at risk. He aspires to work to mitigate the effects of climate change, and is interested in one day joining the renewable energy sector.
In his free time, Evan can be found engaging in most types of outdoor recreation, and exploring the natural environment which he is trying to protect.
