The Detroit River Water Festival (DRWF) is an outdoor, educational event designed to help students learn about our most precious natural resource – clean, fresh water. The DRWF provides students with hands-on activities, taught by top level academic instructors and water quality professionals designed to expose students to a wide variety of water related issues.
Event timeline for students: 10am – 1:30pm.
In addition to recruiting students to attend the DRWF, we are actively seeking adults to support the DRWF as volunteers. Volunteers play a critical role in guiding classes to their presentation site, assisting with set-up / break-down, lunch, and other logistics before, during, and after the event. There will be a 9am orientation the morning of the DRWF to familiarize volunteers with their preferred role(s). Each volunteer will receive a continental breakfast, boxed lunch, lanyard / name tag, and T-shirt.
Volunteer timeline is flexible based on preferred role.
