Nearly 100 young lake sturgeon were released into the Tittabawassee River Saturday, in efforts to restore the species’ population. Three similar releases were held later in the day on the Shiawassee, Flint and Cass rivers; all four rivers connect with the Saginaw River, which then flows into Lake Huron’s Saginaw Bay.
