The Green Infrastructure (GI) Champions program is excited to announce a Green Infrastructure Champions knowledge transfer workshop in Gary, Indiana, in partnership with the City of Gary. The workshop will take place on June 20, 2019, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Genesis Convention Center in Gary. The workshop will highlight how GI strategies, support healthy communities, and how the City of Gary and local partners have used green infrastructure to address stormwater concerns.
Attendees will learn from local experts as they share their lessons learned about planning, design, construction, monitoring, and maintenance for green infrastructure. The workshop is open to community and municipal representatives, non-profit organizations, and consultants interested in adopting GI in their communities. Visit the event website to learn more.
