The Ship That Time Forgot: The Sinking of the Henry Steinbrenner

In May 1953, the freighter Henry Steinbrenner sank in a storm on Lake Superior with the loss of 17 sailors. The ship’s story has been largely been overlooked after the initial headlines immediately following her sinking. Hear the dramatic rescue of the ship’s 16 surviving crew and remember a veteran lake boat that has been forgotten by history.
