Jack Guirey – GIS Specialist
Jack Guirey is a GIS specialist working on the GLC’s Area Contingency Planning project. In this role, he assists in mapping and data development for the Inland Sensitivity Atlas for the EPA. Prior to coming to the Commission, Jack worked for Bedrock Detroit real estate as a GIS specialist working to develop online web mapping applications to showcase the firm’s properties and development projects.
Jack holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental science and sustainability from Northern Michigan University as well as a master’s degree in Geospatial Data Science from the University of Michigan School for Environment and Sustainability. Outside of work, Jack can be found doing one of his many hobbies including but not limited to backpacking, flyfishing, and oil painting.
