In 2025, Michigan Department of Natural Resources fisheries management units completed more than 350 fisheries surveys across the state. These surveys help track inland fisheries populations, evaluate stocking efforts, increase fishing opportunities and address public concerns, all of which are critical to effectively managing the state’s diverse fisheries.
