Webinar: Let’s Talk Lake Huron: Chemical Contaminants

December 7, 2021

Join us on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. CST (11:00 a.m. EST) for a one-hour public webinar as we talk about chemical contaminants in Lake Huron, their impact on human and ecosystem health, and what is being done about them.

Come hear Steve Corsi from the U.S. Geological Survey speak about chemical contaminants in tributaries. We will also hear from Miriam Diamond from the University of Toronto, who will discuss PFAS—a group of human-made chemicals found in many consumer products—and how they end up in the water.

Participants will also learn how they can make a difference and have an opportunity to ask questions to our experts.

This is a virtual webinar hosted on Zoom and is the latest in our webinar series, Let’s Talk Lake Huron!

Hosted by the Lake Huron Partnership, co-led by Environment and Climate Change Canada and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
