November 29, 2022

Join us for a one-hour public webinar as we discuss nutrient challenges and algal blooms in Lake Huron.

We will hear from Julia Rutledge of Environment and Climate Change Canada, who will provide an overview and introduction to nutrient challenges and algal blooms in the basin. We will also hear from guest speaker Fred Dobbs of Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority, who will present on the Nottawasaga River Restoration Program – a strategic water quality improvement and fish habitat enhancement initiative that seeks to reduce algal growth and improve water quality. Dr. David Karpovich of Saginaw Valley State University will present on tributary and nearshore nutrient monitoring in the Saginaw Bay and watershed.
