Michigan Sustainable Business Forum and Make Food Not Waste are hosting a networking and educational event discussing the Michigan Food System Waste Reduction RoadMap. As part of the Mi Healthy Climate Plan, Michigan has made a commitment to reduce food loss and waste in the state by half over the next decade. Developed through a year-long stakeholder process, the Michigan Food System Waste Reduction RoadMap highlights strategies to achieve that goal, detailing the current state of practice and opportunities for improving public policy and industry-led solutions.
The event will provide an opportunity for networking, details on the current state of practice and opportunities for improving public policy and industry-led solutions, and recommendations to the state. Light breakfast will be provided, and an optional tour of Make Food Not Waste’s first kitchen will follow the event
