Great Lakes Calendar

The Huron River Watershed Council, Chagrin River Watershed Partners, Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper, and Huron Pines, all Healthy Watershed Consortium grantees, are partnering to host a Great Lakes Regional Watershed Protection Summit on Tuesday, May 7 from 8-4:30pm EDT in Detroit, MI (location: Westin Book Cadillac Hotel).

The goal of the Summit is to build learning and understanding around the innovative programs and financing options that exist for large-scale watershed protection and identify next steps for working together to build successful programs in the Great Lakes Region. To meet this goal, we want to bring together conservation leaders from across the Great Lakes to exchange ideas around watershed protection, conservation financing mechanisms, regional funding opportunities, and enhanced community and partner engagement.

This workshop is designed to connect to timing of the annual Great Lakes Restoration Conference being held in Detroit on May 8 – 10.
