The 2021 Great Lakes Day Congressional Reception, an annual event sponsored by the Great Lakes Commission and the Northeast-Midwest Institute, will be held online on March 3, 2021. This event features dialogue on Great Lakes priorities by regional leaders and members of Congress who play a critical role in shaping Great Lakes policies.
SOLO21 is the fourth in an annual series of State of Lake conferences hosted by the International Association for Great Lakes Research. These conferences promote collaborations between the science and policy communities—particularly lake-specific research, management, education, and nonprofit organizations—to broaden the discussion and provide diverse interaction among stakeholders.
This online free interactive conference featuring talks and an extended question period on topics such as bottom-up and invasive species mediated changes to Lake Michigan’s food web; Interactions of three invasive species on Lake Michigan spawning reefs; and Tribal operations of raising and releasing lake whitefish and cisco in Lake Michigan plus many more topics.
